Founded in 1994 by a group of students, teachers and artists, Guamanique is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting youth education and community development in Puerto Rico thru performing arts and cultural programs.

• Guamanique has helped hundreds of children and adolescents overcome barriers to education, improve academic performance and manage problems at home or school, like family violence, drug abuse or bullying.

• We have impacted marginalized or remote communities in Puerto Rico, addressing social issues and providing support to underserved populations, like the elderly, people with disabilities and women who’ve been victims of violence.

• Participants of our programs have taken part in international exchanges and cultural immersion programs in more than 25 countries, that provide life-changing, learning experiences for them, their families and their communities.
